Questions We Get a Lot

Rated capacity on these benches refers to a static, evenly distributed load across the work surface. Concentrating heavy weight on one corner — a mounted vise, a heavy press — is a different mechanical condition. Plan your layout with that distinction in mind.

The pegboard on these benches is integrated into the bench structure itself, not a separate wall-mounted panel. It stands with the unit. No wall anchor required, which matters if your garage walls are unfinished or you want the bench freestanding.

Height adjustability varies by model and is listed in each product's spec sheet. If a fixed-height bench doesn't match your working height, check the listed dimensions carefully before ordering — returning assembled furniture is a harder process than getting the right one first.

Garage Citadel offers 30-Day Returns — full details are in our Return Policy. If a product arrives damaged, document it on delivery and contact us through the policy process. We ship to the Continental U.S., excluding AK and HI, with free shipping on most orders.

About Our Work Benches

A workbench is the fixed point around which a serious garage gets built. Get it wrong and every task that follows is a compromise — a surface that flexes under load, a frame that shifts when you apply torque, a height that puts your back in the wrong position before the job even starts. The bench you choose should match the work you actually do. Frame gauge determines how the structure behaves under sustained load — thinner steel deflects, heavier gauge holds. Top material matters just as much: a solid wood surface gives you a workable, replaceable face that takes abuse without transferring it to the frame. Integrated storage like pegboard or drawers keeps the surface clear, which is not a luxury — it is how real work stays organized. Measure your bay before you order. Width, depth, and standing height all affect how the bench fits into the workflow of the space. A bench that is too shallow or too low forces adaptation every time you use it. Buy to the spec your work demands, not the price your budget prefers.
